Quality-plus-systems

If propagating material complies with higher quality or health standards than those stipulated, a breeder, propagator or grower can supply that material with a certificate if required. For this purpose, Naktuinbouw has developed a number of quality-plus systems:

• Naktuinbouw Elite for tested propagating material produced in a pyramid system;
• Naktuinbouw Select Plant for lots of propagating material of extra quality;
• Naktuinbouw certificate for plants or lots of propagating material in the arboricultural sector that comply with the certification standards.

Regulations

The regulations are laid down together with the stakeholders and external experts. Propagating material that meets the standards can be awarded a Naktuinbouw certificate. This certificate confirms that the producer supplies propagating material of a high standard of quality. In some cases the certificate applies for the entire lot, in other cases for individual plants.

Customers who choose certified propagating material can also improve the standards of their own production, as certified material often results in better growth and higher production.
