Naktuinbouw Select Plant
Propagators and growers appreciate being rewarded for all the extra care and attention they devote to their crops. The Naktuinbouw quality-plus systems are a reliable way of indicating high quality propagating material.
Propagating material that complies with the stringent standards may be traded with a Naktuinbouw quality brand and/or certificate. Naktuinbouw has developed three systems:
- Naktuinbouw Select Plant for lots of propagating material of extra quality;
- Naktuinbouw Elite for tested propagating material produced in a pyramid system;
- Certification arboricultural crops for plants or lots of propagating material in the arboricultural sector that meet the certification standards.

The stringent standards relate to the internal and external quality, and the health of the propagating material. Laboratory tests are usually required to establish if all the criteria have been complied with. During the assessment of the material, particular attention is paid to varietal trueness, varietal purity, origin, health (absence of viruses, fungi, bacteria or nematodes) and the quality.
The title Naktuinbouw Elite confirms the higher quality level of the material. In some cases the accompanying certificate applies for the entire lot, in other cases for individual plants.
